Epoxy floor paint construction, any negligence of details may cause defects or rework, resulting in losses, so the construction environment management work must be done before entering the site to ensure the quality of the project.
1.Measurement of temperature and humidity, determination of dew point
During the coating and curing process of floor coatings (especially topcoats) (before surface drying), the surface temperature of the substrate should be higher than the dew point by more than 3 °C to prevent condensation on the surface of the substrate and the wet film, affecting the adhesion of the coating and Surface effect.
At present, there are measuring tables for measuring ambient temperature and relative humidity on the market, and the temperature and humidity can be directly measured. The dew point temperature is different under different humidity and temperature conditions. The dew point temperature comparison table under different temperature and humidity is attached, which can correspond to the intersection of temperature and relative humidity to find the dew point temperature.
Dew point temperature (°C) at different temperatures and humidity
Dew point temperature requirement：The surface temperature of the object to be coated should be 3 ° C above the dew point before painting. When the dew point temperature cannot be determined, a very clear thin layer of water can be applied to the surface of the cleaned floor with a damp cloth and evaporated in 15 minutes to meet the dew point requirement.
2. Other requirements and inspection items
Due to the need for a clean and closed coating environment for floor construction, any negligence of detail may cause defects or rework, resulting in losses, so check the following aspects before entering the site:Checkpoint：①Whether the doors and windows are intact, whether the construction site can be closed, whether the roof, water pipes, etc. have water leakage;
②Avoid cross-operation, moderate ventilation during construction, but should prevent sand,dust and other pollution around;
③Whether lighting, electricity and other facilities are available, if you need to bring your own, you should plan and prepare; ④Pay attention to the weather forecast, whether the weather conditions during the proposed construction period are suitable.
